We are recruiting for the following position: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization The Human Resources Generalist II supports multiple departments by performing a broad range of professional HR functions. This role partners closely with leadership to ensure effective administration of benefits, leave programs, employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and HR operations. The HR Generalist II plays a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, supporting policy implementation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality HR service aligned with Sea Mar’s mission and values.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in HR or Business required (Bachelor’s preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of Human Resources experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment and labor laws
  • Experience with Workday systems, Microsoft Office, and SharePoint
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP) preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits (health, life, 401(k)), COBRA, and enrollment changes
  • Manage leave programs including FMLA, L&I/Workers’ Compensation, and unemployment
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and new employee orientation
  • Process wage changes and ensure compensation accuracy in alignment with union contract guidelines
  • Maintain and audit personnel files
  • Utilize the Workday system for employee data management, reporting, compensation updates, benefits administration, and compliance tracking
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and employee relations matters
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements (EEO-1 and others)
  • Maintain accurate and current job descriptions
