Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, preferably in Human Resources is required.
  • Minimum 4 years HR Generalist experience of the full HR/employee lifecycle in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A true pro-active, hands-on approach, high level of employee engagement as well as the ability to successful monitor the “pulse” of employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully and independently manage employee relation issues while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Build rapport quickly and maintain effective working relationships with employees and managers across all levels.
  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and act on this.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Oracle HCM Cloud is a plus.

  • SHRM CP or PHR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational HR support and expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, organizational changes, learning and development, performance management, benefits and compensation.
  • Act as a central HR contact person for the site advising on HR policies and procedures and effectively manage employee relations issues (union and non-union sites).
  • Consult with leaders on general HR policies and procedures and assist employees with HR related issues.
  • Oversee HR and payroll procedures (new hires, terminations, promotions, merit increases etc.), ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law, Corporate & Group directives.
  • Own the recruitment process: obtain approvals, maintain updated job profiles, source and screen candidates, or work in close liaison with in-house Recruiters when required.
  • Ensure all onboarding and off-boarding activities are delivered and improvement action items completed. Complete weekly, monthly and quarterly HR reporting.
  • Actively lead projects/actions arising from the HR strategy or from policy/procedure changes.
  • Set up and facilitate employee Roundtable meetings, ensuring actions are assigned to action owners for completion.
