About The Position

As the HR Generalist, you will have exposure to a broad array of HR functions and perform diverse administrative and operational job duties to ensure a smooth and efficient business operation. Leading and supporting functional areas of recruiting, onboarding, performance management, programs and policies, employment law compliance, change management and reporting within a business segment, you will partner with HR Managers and leaders on your team, to facilitate and assist human resource programs and processes across a dynamically transforming organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business or related field.
  • 1-3 years’ experience as a HR Generalist strongly preferred, experience in a HR function or multiple HR internships in lieu of HR Generalist experience will be considered.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information required.
  • Drive for results, sound decision making, ability to work independently supported by a fantastic HR team, resourceful mindset, and strong attention to detail required.
  • Knowledge of employment law and regulations required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint required.

  • Previous experience with Dayforce HRIS system ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Understanding site workforce plans, conduct recruitment efforts for various exempt, non-exempt and temporary positions, with emphasis on operations staffing.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to market and recruit, including job postings, conducting interviews, candidate evaluations, temp conversions, and pre-boarding.
  • Ensure a smooth new hire onboarding process, conduct new hire orientation, and deliver an exceptional first-day experience.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientations, termination and exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer various human resource programs and procedures for all employees and assist in the interpretation, development and implementation of employee policies and procedures with employees and leaders.
  • Provide coaching and counseling to managers and supervisors on programs and policies. May handle employee relations issues.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Assist with work verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Participate in developing department goals and objectives. Undertake tasks related to performance management.
  • Provide reporting, build and maintain metrics and analytics.
  • Utilize HRIS system to ensure accuracy of employee data while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Lead or participate in HR projects.
  • Build rapport with all employees, provide excellent customer service, and manage professional relationships.
  • Keep current with industry knowledge by attending seminars, reading articles, webinars.
  • Provide other human resource assistance, as necessary.
