About The Position

The HR Leave Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR department and handles day-to-day administration of the leave of absence process.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • May be required to have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees with personal and protected leave of absence requests
  • Process status changes as it pertains to LOA’s
  • Work with external leave vendor to facilitate protected FMLA leaves for employees
  • Ensure adherence to SBM leave policy and compliance
  • Assist HR field with LOA processing, guidance, and training
  • Maintain employee HR files and other record keeping
  • Provide monthly departmental reports
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in use of information related to employees, managers, and departmental operations without exception
  • Accurately perform data entry of new hires, terminations, and other associated personnel actions
  • Review and verify change requests and documents to determine accuracy and completeness of information, utilize discretion and escalate issues as needed to correct or complete data.
  • Provide back up support to the Shared Services Lead Coordinator
  • Assist with projects, as needed
