HR Intern responsible for providing support in carrying out human resources functions such as recruitment, workforce management, weekly reporting. The intern will be based in our Zurn Headquarters located in Milwaukee, WI.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited University, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Excellent organizational skills to provide efficient and timely follow up to deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Business Insight – Applying knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization’s goals.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the Shared Services team, completes assignments in areas such as: Onboarding, Off-boarding, Benefits, HR system data entry, and Reporting.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new hires.
  • Professionally and accurately responds to written and oral inquiries from employees, managers, and HR partners regarding HR questions, HR policies or Benefits. This will include telephone, chat, or e-mail.
  • Interfaces with Human Resource Partners, HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, IT, and variously levels of Management to assist in the administration and support of employee issues and problems
  • Quickly and accurately resolves cases in professional, sensitive, customer-focused manner. Escalates complex cases to the HR Shared Services Manager.
  • Assist with various HRSS projects
  • Other related projects and duties as assigned
