About The Position

Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Human Resources Specialist to support our growing organization. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in HR or a related field preferred, with an emphasis on recruitment and employee relations.
  • experience with Paylocity or other HRIS platforms preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Administers a wide range of human resources processes and supports the delivery of services across all areas of the HR department.
  • Guides employees through HR procedures, responds to policy-related questions, and supports the execution and coordination of HR work across multiple HR teams.
  • Managing key HR functions, including recruitment and interview support, employee relations, and ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws.
  • Address colleague concerns, mediate conflicts, and foster a positive workplace environment. Escalate matters when issues become highly complex or involve legal considerations.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Provide support to the HR team on compensation-related activities, including explaining compensation practices to employees and supervisors and assisting with market benchmarking to support job development and hiring decisions.
  • Create and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate training programs for employee development and performance improvement.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Help support and perform suiting functions under any of the areas of Human Resources
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as needed and assist in managing and delivering HR projects.
