The NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) enriches the environment and protects public health for all New Yorkers by providing 1.1 billion gallons of high-quality drinking water, managing wastewater and stormwater, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution. DEP is the largest combined municipal water and wastewater utility in the country, with nearly 6,000 employees. DEP's water supply system is comprised of 19 reservoirs and 3 controlled lakes throughout the system’s 2,000 square mile watershed that extends 125 miles north and west of the City. The Office of Executive Administration provides essential administrative support services to multiple bureaus and offices within the Agency as well as multiple Mayoral Offices that support the Agency’s mission, including direct support services to the Commissioner of DEP. Services include managing all budgets, human resources management, facilities management, procurement and training. The selected candidate will be responsible for data exploration, extraction, interpreting output and performance, weekly reports, maintain files, clerical duties. In addition, the summer intern will develop a final presentation to display assignments they have been involved with while working as an intern at the DEP Interns Closing Ceremony.
