About The Position

The Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Administrator will support and maintain the organization’s HRIS applications and reports and provide backup for payroll functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Two years of related experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Familiarity with human resources rules, regulations, policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS meets organizational needs and goals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and technical support skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to keep information confidential.
  • Thorough understanding of information systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI experience a plus.
  • Prior payroll experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data reports, summaries, and logs for senior executives and HR staff.
  • Collects and compiles HR metrics and data from a variety of sources including the human resource information system (HRIS) and payroll outputs, management, and employee surveys, exit interviews, employment records, government labor statistics, competitors’ practices, and other sources.
  • Analyzes data and statistics for trends and patterns with attention to recruitment, hiring practices, motivation, turnover, and compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepares reports of data results, presenting and explaining findings to senior leadership.
  • Identifies and recommends reasonable short- and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks for key performance metrics.
  • Programs custom functions and documentation such as automated queries, filters, macros, and reports.
  • Based on metrics and analysis, makes recommendations for policies and activities to improve the organizational culture including suggestions to attract and hire qualified candidates, to motivate and retain employees, to address staffing issues, and to ensure legal compliance.
  • May conduct or assist with conducting classification audits to ensure that jobs are properly classified.
  • Ensures compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.
  • May guide and/or assist with performance, benefit, and compensation review and evaluation processes.
  • Serves as representative and liaison between HR, information services, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS design and implementation projects.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in HRIS providers, vendors, and technology.
  • Oversees and maintains optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
  • Collaborates with executive leadership and HR staff to identify system improvements and enhancements; recommends and implements solutions.
  • Supports and backs up payroll functions.
  • Performs other duties as required.
