About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Command Human Resources Assistant Director the HRIS Specialist/HR Generalist provides support with maintaining the ongoing administration of HRIS, and related systems to support short and long-range HR goals; assists in maintaining standard reporting measures, quantitative explanation of relevant data, and ongoing analysis of alternatives and solutions; serves as liaison for HRIS matters including implementation, training, troubleshooting and auditing within the Division; provides training for ARC users on HRIS system Supports the Human Resource Department in technical point-of-contact capacity for assigned functional areas including daily recruitment and compensation administration as well as performance management; recruits, evaluates, and recommends candidates for open positions; serves as backup to I-9s and background checks. Plans and facilitates the annual and 90-day performance management process and the annual pay increase process; prepares data and reports for the annual EEO-1 reporting process. Aids with benefit administration to ensure accurate leave balances are maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Human Resources, Human Resources Information Systems, or a closely related field
  • Five (5) years job-related work experience administering an HRIS system, and performing a variety of human resource functions, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Valid State Driver’s License
