About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable High School History Teacher to deliver engaging, rigorous instruction in world and U.S. history. The ideal candidate will teach a range of history courses and inspire students to think critically about historical events, analyze primary and secondary sources, and understand the connections between the past and the present. Both full-time and part-time candidates are eligible for company-paid benefits. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in history, Social Studies, Education, or a related field
  • Passion for working with high school students and supporting both academic and personal growth
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Warm, enthusiastic, and engaging classroom presence
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive, supportive, and motivating learning environment

Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of high school history courses (such as World History, U.S. History, Government/Civics, Honors, and/or AP history courses), aligned with curriculum standards and course requirements.
  • Design and deliver clear, engaging lessons that promote historical inquiry, critical thinking, and analysis of primary and secondary sources.
  • Guide students in developing strong research, analytical, and discussion skills related to historical topics and themes.
  • Prepare students for assessments, including AP exams where applicable, through effective instruction, practice, and ongoing feedback.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support students at varying skill levels.
  • Foster a positive, student-centered classroom environment that encourages curiosity, respectful debate, and thoughtful examination of historical perspectives.
  • Collaborate with administrators, faculty, and parents to support student achievement and contribute to a strong school community.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives.
