About The Position

As a HSE Engineer 1 here at Honeywell, you will be instrumental in fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility within the organization. You will report directly to our HSE Manager and you’ll work out of our South Bend, Indiana location on a Hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact our business by ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 1+ years of experience in HSE engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and safety audits.
  • Experience with HSE management systems and compliance tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing HSE strategies that align with the organization's mission, ensuring a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and contribute to the development of preventive measures.
  • Support the development and maintenance of emergency response plans for HSE-related incidents, including accidents and environmental emergencies.
