About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Human Resource Manager and serves a key role in supporting HR operations within the plant. This position partners with HR leadership to implement effective HR practices, enhance employee engagement, and ensure compliance with employment and safety regulations. As a member of the RS team, you will help cultivate a workplace culture grounded in respect, integrity, quality, teamwork, and professional growth. You will also promote best practices in employee relations, health and safety, and talent development, supporting a 24/7 manufacturing facility environment.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with Dayforce
  • Experience administering benefits annual enrollment and qualified events enrollments
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards, workplace safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with disability management, or return-to-work programs is an asset.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and drive employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR Manager to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and HR policy application.
  • Investigate and resolve employee concerns while ensuring fair, consistent, and compliant outcomes.
  • Coach managers and supervisors on HR best practices, progressive discipline, and workplace communication.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage disability claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Lead the full recruitment cycle, including candidate screening, and offers.
  • Coordinate onboarding, job descriptions, employee development plans, and exit interviews.
  • Maintain HR records including employee files, attendance management and progressive discipline documentation.
  • Support training programs, HR process improvements, and benefits/enrollments administration.
  • Manage and maintain the full employee lifecycle within the HRIS system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Lead engaging new hire orientations to ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
  • Coordinate and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to support HR operations and services.
  • Support the HR team by performing additional duties and special projects as assigned to meet organizational needs.
  • Participate in HR Projects and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conduct employee investigations, prepare documentation and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Facilitate internal HR communications, including programs, announcements and events.
