About The Position

The HR Intern will support the Human Resources department in various functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and administrative tasks. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR processes and contribute to projects that impact the workforce. Internship Details Location: Burton, Ohio (on-site) Duration: Approximately 10–12 weeks (summer) Schedule: Full-time preferred Compensation: $25.00 per hour. This position has a set starting wage. Mentorship: Direct support from the TA team

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Ability to handle personal and confidential information
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Good computer/systems skills – MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook). Knowledge of HRIS and timekeeping preferred.
  • Good cooperation and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail, high energy, self-motivated and self-reliant.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact well with all personality types.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in an office setting or HR department is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in sourcing and recruiting local talent. This includes setting up interviews, participating in the interview process, and handling follow-up communication with candidates
  • Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation to help introduce new employees to the company culture, processes, and procedures.
  • Assist with benefits administration and HR compliance tasks as needed.
  • Provide support in organizing and managing employee recognition programs and celebrations
  • Providing administrative assistance to the HR team, such as preparing correspondence (emails, letters) and reports, managing electronic records, or assisting with general office duties.
  • Completing any additional tasks or projects as assigned by the HR management team, which could vary depending on the organization's needs.
