About The Position

Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This role is key to providing top-notch support to our Facilities Management department while we service the ever-changing needs for facility maintenance, utilities, landscape & grounds, and custodial services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, AND:
  • 12 months office, clerical, or administrative experience.
  • Basic math skills
  • Advanced computer skills with wide knowledge of business software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives
  • Excellent customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Communicate effectively.
  • Engage in repetitive motion.
  • Standard office environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous human resources experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field

Responsibilities

  • Assumes day-to-day responsibility for organizing and coordinating human resource functions
  • Supports the coordination and execution of employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and specialized HR projects
  • Coordinates and oversees the full onboarding and orientation process for new employees
  • Assists with employee relation matters, such as positive discipline and investigations
  • Serves on departmental committees and occasionally acting as a liaison with university departments on HR-related matters
  • Updates department procedures for a more efficient operation when necessary
  • Establishes and maintains filing systems including confidential documents
  • Supervises and trains staff
  • Assist with the design of departmental programs.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position
