About The Position

HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST Summary: The Human Resources Generalist serves as the primary operational support to the HR Manager and functions as the department’s second-in-command. This role is responsible for executing core HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, training coordination, HRIS management, HR reporting and supporting employee engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist drives operational excellence while fostering a positive employee experience in a fast-paced construction environment. This position requires a high level of discretion, sound independent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. All work is local. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources field from an accredited institution, or comparable work experience with PHR or SPHR certification
  • Two to five years of experience in the construction industry preferred. Or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Highly organized.
  • Familiarity with HR software (e.g., HRIS systems)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Strong organizational, analytical, time-management. and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex issues, multiple priorities in a fast-paced, confidential, and dynamic setting.
  • Effective and superior communication, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence communication) with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with all stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Two to five years of experience in the construction industry preferred.
