About The Position

Join our team as a Human Resources Generalist, where you’ll play a pivotal role supporting a vibrant and diverse regional workforce. Based at our Boston, MA Headquarters, or Braintree, MA Corporate office you’ll be the go-to resource for employee relations and employment matters—providing trusted guidance and counsel to employees and managers alike. Reporting directly to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, this position offers the best of both worlds: a collaborative office environment Mondays through Thursdays and the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays. The salary range for this role is $85,000.00-$100,000.00 annually dependent on experience. Responsibilities: Review, research, and investigate employee relations matters from basic policy interpretation to complicated investigations. May include, but is not limited to, reviewing/creating disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans, termination review/sign-off, mentoring and coaching in management practices and communication skills. Support is provided in-person or remotely depending on the situation. Escalate situations as necessary to HR Business Partner or VP Human Resources. Support HR process and programs to ensure successful participation and completion of activities by employees and managers, including but not limited to, new hire on-boarding, completion of timecards, employee data changes, required trainings, compensation changes, leave of absence/workers compensation processing, and benefits processing. Support and facilitate development activities, training, and communications to various employee groups as policies/processes change or as training is needed. Champion employee engagement activities and provide support to engagement committees. Support Local Leadership with guidance and tools. Provide administrative support related to HR functions for regional leadership, to include but not limited to, running reports for employee data, monitoring LMS class completions, communication for manager/employee compliance of required HR tasks, responding to and attending unemployment processing, etc. Ensure management and operating practices are in compliance with all employment related federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and requirements. Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or experience in lieu of.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources or Employee Relations.
  • Past experience with performance management.
  • A current driver's license in good standing and ability to meet the driving records standards outlined in the Company Safe Vehicular Operations Policy.
  • Experience with computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office and Dayforce.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with heavy workload.
  • Experience working with large employee population.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of labor laws and federal rules and regulations.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills and the ability to implement solutions quickly.
