About The Position

Purpose: The HR Internship will provide a hands-on experience supporting human resource functions as part of the Shared Services business unit. This role contributes to and supports recruitment, on-boarding, and other HR operations while learning best practices from other HR professionals. Essential Functions: Assist with job postings, scheduling interviews, and supporting the onboarding process for new hires Assist with creation of new hire profiles in our payroll system (UKG) Process employee changes and complete off-boarding tasks Support employees with any questions or concerns they may have Update records in our Performance Management System (SABA) Maintain employee records with accuracy and confidentiality Ensure completion of time sensitive tasks while remaining complaint with relevant laws and regulations Conduct stay interviews and exit interviews Maintain employee files Create reports as needed Provide support to the HR Leadership Team as needed Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles Other duties as assigned by manager

Requirements

  • Working towards a Human Resources degree or other relevant field
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask
