About The Position

We are a fast-growing startup organization seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join our team as a key player in supporting the organization's human resources functions. The Human Resources Specialist will work closely with HR management to ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills, a keen understanding of HR practices, and the ability to contribute to the overall success of the organization. Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in Human Resources setting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM-CP is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide onboarding training for new hires (New Hire Orientation)
  • Participates in the recruitment, screening, and orientation for all candidates
  • Develop onboarding kits to support new employee integration.
  • Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters.
  • Assists with preparation of human resource reports such as attendance, new hire, and turnover reports.
  • Manages HR Projects & various miscellaneous administrative activities.
  • Assists with performance development tasks.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
