About The Position

Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Specialist performs a variety of technical and administrative HR functions with a strong emphasis on payroll administration, employee records, and compliance. This role requires a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1–2 years of Human Resources or payroll experience required
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and payroll regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • High level of integrity and discretion

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel or resort HR experience strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate payroll data for hourly, salaried, and commissioned employees
  • Oversee bi-weekly payroll processing, including audits and reconciliation
  • Enter and maintain employee information such as rate changes, transfers, deductions, bonuses, and leave
  • Ensure accurate processing of payroll deductions, benefits, reimbursements, and allowances
  • Prepare and process final pay documentation and pay cards for terminations
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee and manager payroll-related inquiries
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies in coordination with the corporate payroll team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in ADP Workforce Now
  • Process time-off requests and ensure proper documentation is collected
  • Demonstrate discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information
  • Assist with HR audits and compliance documentation
  • Support HR initiatives and projects as assigned
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
