Provide technical assistance to community-based organizations, private business and medical entities on development, implementation, and expansion of HIV prevention programs and/or services for the HIV affected/effected community. Organize and/or participate in local HIV prevention campaigns and events as assigned, Coordinate with local jail, drug treatment facilities, and other high-volume venues that provide service to high-risk clients, to provide timely screening and/or testing for HIV/ Syphilis and ensure appropriate treatment and follow up care. Coordinate and conduct timely personal interviews with individuals infected with sexually transmitted diseases for the purpose of educating clients regarding their infections and appropriate treatment and medical care and developing plans to locate and refer sex/IV partners to medical care Communicate Health Literacy/Health Education activities to increase individuals’ awareness of HIV status and facilitate access to HIV care system using HIV testing, referral services and linkage to care. Provide HIV pre and post-test counseling and rapid testing (anonymous and confidential) in Community Health clinic and in outreach settings/events. Orders and maintains HIV testing kits according to FDOH HIV testing policies. Serve as primary liaison with HIV Early Intervention Services program, maintain accurate and up to date client files and link with the CAREWare system Performs other related duties as assigned
