About The Position

We are a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP); building automation; and industrial piping contractor. Our team offers a variety of MEP and process piping services, including design-build engineering for new construction and renovation, installation and specialty construction, maintenance, and air balancing, start-up, and energy efficiency services. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced HVACA Chiller Technician to service, install, and repair HVAC, chiller, and refrigeration equipment for both existing and new accounts in a safe and efficient manner. This role involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits, and tear-downs on complex mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong refrigeration background, excellent electrical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read schematics and work with Building Management Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Service/Install/Repair in an efficient and safe manner to assigned HVAC, Chiller, and Refrigeration equipment/duties for existing and new accounts.
  • Working knowledge of all mechanical systems including trouble shooting, repair, and maintain complex mechanical HVAC equipment helpful.
  • Have some working knowledge of PC’s, application software, and Building Management Systems.
  • Have working knowledge of schematic reading.
  • Will be responsible for performing chiller PMs, troubleshooting/repairs, overhauls, major inspections, retrofits and tear downs.
  • Maintain record of work performed and parts/materials used.
  • Utilizes company and vendor resources.
  • Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld.
  • Ability to follow schedules and budgets.
  • Wear company uniform and required safety PPE, perform job hazard analysis.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, verbal, and written communication.
  • Interact with customer by offering status reports of service before, during, and after each call.
  • Be able to explain technical information, effectively and professionally to technical and not-technical audience.
