As a Product Engineering intern at MAHLE, you will learn and utilize MAHLE systems to work on various tasks related to product engineering. This includes submitting VAMAS requests, setting up tests, analyzing test data, and generating reports for review and approval by the team and management. You will gain insights into HVAC module design from a quality perspective, starting with understanding drawings, tolerance callouts, DFMEA, and DRBFM. If opportunities arise, you may assist with tasks at manufacturing plants or customer sites, which will require travel. Additionally, you will participate in and conduct HVAC module level tests, learn to use a 1st order CFD tool for HVAC module design optimization, and engage in problem-solving initiatives with team members using various analytical tools such as 5 whys, fishbone diagrams, and fault trees.

  • Must be enrolled in a 4-year accredited university.
  • Major: Mechanical Engineering.
  • Class Standing: Sophomore or Junior.
  • Overall GPA must be a 3.0 or higher.
  • Skills in CAD, CAE, Validation - Testing, Analysis & report creation.
