Comunale can work in virtually every market sector and facility type. S.A. Comunale is seeking a HVAC Project Manager. The Project Manager will be responsible for creating job schedules, coordinating the delivery of tools and fabrications, identifying and managing the personnel assigned to each project, and tracking labor efficiency. In addition, the individual will be responsible for representing the company at job progress meetings and pre bid walkthrough meetings

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3-5+ years’ experience in the plumbing or mechanical industry, working in sales, estimating, project management, and design is required.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel) applications is required.
  • Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce results is required.
  • Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.
  • Demonstrating integrity and professionalism is required.
  • Demonstrating commitment to company values is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, see, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The strength rating for this position is classified as light work which entails exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
  • Environmental conditions of this position are occasionally wide ranging including inside, outside, extreme hot, extreme cold, fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust poor ventilation, hazards, humid, loud noises, vibrations, and wet.
  • This position frequently requires protective equipment for eyes and head and occasionally for arms, feet, hearing, full body, leg, respirator, and skin.
  • Operation of a computer, telephone, drawing/drafting tools, hand calculator, copiers/fax machine are required.
  • The employee must be able to understand simple math, statistics, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, financial reports, layout work, legal documents, simple memos, and business letters.
  • The employee also must be able to write or present simple memos, summaries, business letters, technical reports, speeches, and formal presentations.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to customer and company locations by land and air.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately define project requirements
  • Create job schedules.
  • Coordinate the delivery of tools and fabrication.
  • Identify and manage the personnel assigned to each project and track their labor efficiency.
  • Attend job progress meetings and pre bid meetings
  • Estimate hours remaining to complete projects
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned projects so that they are completed on time and on budget.
  • Work with clients to brainstorm creative solutions to their problems and to ensure their needs are met through our customized solutions
  • Manage projects following established guidelines that ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible.
  • Communicate with team members regarding project needs.
  • Reading and analyzing job cost reports and taking appropriate action as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from the senior management team in timely manner.
  • Assist with collections as required.
  • Will provide direct supervision to the individuals assigned to the projects being managed.
