About The Position

Join Oshkosh Aerotech as an HVAC Technician, playing a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and optimizing HVAC systems and associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment. You’ll handle preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, interpret blueprints and schematics, and conduct hands-on work including brazing, soldering, and welding. Requirements

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Valid Driver’s License.
3 years of related HVAC/Electrical maintenance and repair experience in a commercial facility
Ability to obtain airport security clearance.
Availability to work variable shifts; including day or night shift and including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Experience in airport operations.
Understanding of Johnson Control Systems.
Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
Basic proficiency with computers and common software applications.

Responsibilities

Maintain and repair all types of HVAC systems and associated components.
Replace filters when necessary.
Maintain facility operations through the monitoring and repair of various mechanical, electrical, plumbing, equipment, and controls.
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on required systems.
Perform brazing, soldering, pipefitting, welding, and fabrication.
Read complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Inspect, monitor, repair, maintain, and operate mechanical systems, motors, compressors, pumps, fans, ducts, pipes, thermostats, and switches.
Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning, glycol, heating, hot water, and steam distribution equipment and systems to optimize performance and energy use.
Comply with company safety program and trainings.
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment.
Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
