About The Position

Harris Plumbing, Heating, Air, & Electrical is a growing, locally owned and operated full-service residential home services company based in South Jersey. We proudly serve homeowners throughout the Tri-State area, delivering 5-star plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical services through a proven, customer-focused service system. We are seeking an experienced HVAC Trainer to educate and mentor technicians in residential and light commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned HVAC professional with strong communication skills and a passion for developing the next generation of technicians. This role involves delivering hands-on training, classroom instruction, and ongoing technical development to ensure technicians maintain high standards of quality, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

5+ years of HVAC field experience (residential or commercial)
Strong knowledge of HVAC installation, service, and diagnostics
EPA Certification required
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to teach both classroom and hands-on training
Valid driver’s license

Prior training, teaching, or leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

Deliver classroom and hands-on training on HVAC systems, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Train technicians on best practices for residential and light commercial HVAC systems
Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, and presentations
Evaluate technician performance and provide coaching and feedback
Stay current with new HVAC technologies, equipment, and industry regulations
Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
Support onboarding and skill development for new technicians
Assist management with identifying skill gaps and developing training programs
