About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Planner to support capital project planning and execution within an industrial environment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining electrical work plans, coordinating with engineering and construction teams, and ensuring timely execution of electrical scopes in alignment with capital investment strategies.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical planning or project controls within the chemical, petrochemical, or industrial construction sectors.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and planning/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with project platforms such as Navisworks, Synchro, Aconex, and SharePoint.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation practices, and capital project workflows.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Primavera P6 Certification
  • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training
  • Experience with O3 Solutions, DocuSign, and Oracle systems
  • Electrical technician or journeyman background is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed electrical work schedules for capital projects using SAP and other planning tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to define scope, sequence, and resource requirements for electrical installations.
  • Create and manage Installation Work Packages (IWPs) for electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project milestones and safety standards.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications to support accurate planning and field execution.
  • Coordinate material requisitions and deliveries with procurement and warehouse teams based on BOMs and project timelines.
  • Monitor field progress and update schedules based on daily reports and actual work completed.
  • Support cost control efforts by tracking labor hours, material usage, and schedule performance.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project leadership, including look-ahead schedules, progress curves, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and pre-job planning meetings to identify risks and optimize execution strategies.
