An I/O Technician to join a groundbreaking studio technology department based in Burbank. The I/O Technician is responsible for facilitating the smooth ingest, egest, organization, and delivery of digital asset media across a wide range of platforms and mechanisms. This role requires experience with Aspera, SharePoint, AWS, and GCP transfer workflows, working knowledge of enterprise and prosumer-level data transfer platforms, and a basic understanding of post-production and studio media pipelines. The I/O Technician owns communication around all requests from submission to completion and coordinates efforts with multiple departments across the Engineering, Operations, and Post-Production teams. The ideal candidate is deeply familiar with digital and physical I/O operations, operating systems, drive hardware, and scripting/command-line tools including Python and BASH. This role offers the opportunity to work with proprietary toolsets related to Sphere’s groundbreaking capture and display technology pipelines and to help shape department procedures and workflows as the studio grows.
