As an Engineering Project Manager within the Product Design organization you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation process for one of our iPhone Product Design teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of cross-functional partners and external vendors to meet overall program objectives.
  • Focus on mechanical engineering design, development planning, and validation cycles of new iPhones.
  • Deep dive into material fundamentals and creatively solve challenging logistics and technical problems.
  • Collaborate and work well with inter-disciplinary teams to deliver the best material solutions and products.
  • Drive day-to-day activities to meet overall project objectives.
  • Create and manage project schedules.
  • Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity.
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to lead multi-functional communication between project teams and external vendors.
  • BS Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of combined experience in NPI project management and mechanical engineering.
  • Ability to travel/work internationally 25% of the year.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience collaborating with and facilitating communication across Design, Engineering, Operations teams and OEM partners.
  • Ability to independently drive projects through rapid development cycles and deliver a product.
  • Detailed knowledge of product development processes and strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision making.
  • Provide project status across a wide spectrum of contributors to executive management.
