About The Position

The I/DD Director will oversee and support the team in the development of independent living skills and promote choice while assisting persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) to live productive and meaningful lives. Services and support are provided in the home of a person with an intellectual and/or developmental disability, or in the community setting of their choice. The services provided will support the successful achievement of goals established by the person receiving services while supporting medical needs and attending to activities of daily living in the individual's home and community.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of successful program management or director level experience at a fastgrowing PASA o An extensive and in-depth knowledge of Colorado I/DD services and waivers
• A strong history of leading and developing large, distributed teams
• Experience leading a residential program operated under an Independent Contractor Model
• Bachelor's Degree in a social services or related field preferred.
• Must complete all competencies and trainings required by PASCO administration.
• Strong organization and time management skills, ability to maintain one's own schedule and meet deadlines.
• Ability to operate a computer, familiarity with Microsoft products, specifically Outlook and ability to receive and process work in applicable electronic health record systems .
• Service: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with individuals receiving services and their families, and provide professional appropriate, compassionate and empathetic support and services to individuals receiving services.
• Maintaining Commitments: Ability to consistently fulfill commitments, show up when promised, and maintain strong communication with all individuals receiving services, their families and collaborating team members/partners.
• Collaboration: Ability to maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate flexibility and balance both self-interest and service of others interest with the interests of the agency.
• Knowledge of State, Federal and Licensing rules and regulations for waiver services and service delivery.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing .
• Ability to work with diverse populations of individuals and external agency community partners.
• Light detailed work
• Sitting some of the time in front of a computer screen or paperwork, in combination with walking, standing or exerting force.
• May require walking or standing more than 1/3 of the time.
• May require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
• Requires talking, hearing and detailed work with fingers, such as repetitive typing, and may require stooping, kneeling, crouching, grasping, lifting, reaching, pushing
• Requires close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspectio n).
• Examples: Positions that require arranging records in file cabinets, drawers, and boxes, walking to obtain records and standing while arranging them, or constant typing.

Responsibilities

• Manage all services PASCO provides through the DD, SLS, CES and CHRP waiver programs.
• Spearhead new projects to advance the I/DD services.
• Directly manage and provide career development over an established program administration team.
• Oversee the supervision of a large team of Direct Support Professionals.
• Guide the I/DD hiring, on-boarding, and training processes.
• Tracks crucial compliance items and lead all auditing efforts.
• Understands and complies with all appropriate HIPAA and Confidentiality regulations, maintains strict consumer health care and employee record privacy and confidentiality
• At all times, adheres to all rules and regulations set forth by State and Federal Agencies as well as PASCO's administration
• Performs other duties and responsibilities that are assigned, or required to fulfill listed key duties and responsibilities
