About The Position

The IIMBPO Senior Production Technician is an advanced production worker, responsible for performing multiple complex or advanced production tasks, including document prep, document scanning, document QC/QA, and document indexing. Additionally, the IIM BPO Senior Production Technician may be called upon to provide minor coaching on, and within, assigned IIM BPO projects.

  • Ability to retain and accurately follow detailed verbal and/or written instructions
  • Requires the ability to perform accurate data entry
  • Ability to clearly communicate instructions to others and provide training on all related job functions
  • Ability to operate a copy machine and/or scanner, as assigned
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to visually assess potential scanning or validation issues and take corrective steps, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of all production job functions, from document preparation to scanning and validation
  • Familiarity with all production jobs and which fields need to be validated
  • Assist the IIM BPO Production Manager with training new hires on production processes and procedures
  • Asist in conducting validation, as neededIf performing document preparation, the following duties apply:
  • Log in and out of the Box Tracking System
  • Remove all staples, clips, post it notes, etc. from documents to be processed
  • Repair any torn documents with tape
  • Accurately and legibly copy info from folders
  • Determine if a document needs copying (e.g. severely wrinkled or torn beyond repair)
  • Insert a separator sheet and/or copy in the correct place
  • Determine the document type and then which separator sheet group it falls under; some jobs have multiple document types and use multiple separator sheets within a folder, so the process of determining what goes where must be performed several times within one folder
  • Keep all documents in the exact order as received
  • Be sure all documents are facing front and right side up
  • Check lists against files in the box
  • Keep track of the hours spent on each job for weekly billing sheets
  • Reassembly
  • Remove separator sheets after documents have been scanned and staple or clip back together in their original order; also put back any plastic binding that was removed in the preparation process and return it to its original order
  • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Log in and out of the Box Tracking System
  • Choose the batch (if scanned under a wrong batch, the job must be deleted and rescanned)
  • Create scan settings for each project.
  • Ensure the correct DPI for each batch class is used
  • Scan as duplex unless otherwise indicated on the work order
  • Initial each box when completed for quality control purposes
  • The work order must be filled out correctly
  • Watch the monitor as papers are going through the scanner
  • After the batch is scanned, check each page on the monitor and make adjustments for pages that are crooked, have folds in them, or are not clear and rescan the page (pages should look exactly like the original hard copy)
  • If a double feed is experienced, stop scanning, replace the page, and insert the second page
  • Responsible for cleaning any assigned scanners (glass, rollers, loose papers, etc.)
  • Performs other duties, as assignedIf performing data entry of batches, the following duties apply:
  • Log in and out of the Box Tracking System
  • Key all fields for each document.
  • Make sure the document types are correct
