Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare or professional office experience preferred
  • Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients; escort patients to exam areas and help with exam preparation as needed
  • Answer phones professionally and route calls/messages appropriately
  • Schedule radiology appointments across all imaging modalities
  • Register patients, verify information, collect copayments, and distribute paperwork
  • Communicate with physician offices regarding scheduling and reports
  • Maintain, scan, and organize patient records in the EMR (EPIC)
  • Retrieve, print, fax, and distribute imaging reports for physicians, patients, and legal requests
  • Burn and import imaging discs as requested
  • Collect and process fees for legal requests when applicable
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties, including filing, data entry, and appointment confirmation
  • Assist with department supply distribution
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives
