About The Position

Operates radiology equipment, under indirect supervision of a registered technologist. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Identify and report issues and concerns to effectively solve problems. Show interest and actively participate in Process Improvement projects, both departmentally and hospital wide. Be able to collaborate with others in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Effectively communicates the exam requirements, risks and benefits in order to ease anxiety and obtain informed consent. Uses proper radiation protection techniques in order to minimize radiation dose to patients, fetus, staff, and self in accordance with the ALARA principle. Abide by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI). Maintain effective communication and professional working relationships with patients/clients and their representatives, team members, contractors, physicians, peers, outside agencies, and the public. Minimum Qualifications: Required Education and Experience Actively enrolled in an Associate’s degree program or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology. Completed 1st semester of Clinical rotation. Required License/Certifications/Registrations Current BLS card within 30 days of hire or by the end of orientation, whichever comes first. Acceptable courses are American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education and Experience none Preferred License/Certifications/Registrations none Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrates a working knowledge of human anatomy and physiology. Demonstrates ability to verify physician orders, and complete procedures accordingly. Knowledge of imaging functions. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Physical Requirements: With or without accommodation. Medium Work: Occasionally exerting up to 50 lbs - constantly exerting up to 10 lbs. 26-50% of the day may be standing or walking. Requirements

Actively enrolled in an Associate’s degree program or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in Radiologic Technology.
Completed 1st semester of Clinical rotation.
