What You'll Be Doing Perform general diagnostic X-ray and CT exams—conducting daily quality control checks and operating imaging equipment with precision and confidence. Interview patients to gather medical history, explain procedures, and ensure safety protocols are followed before, during, and after each exam. Position patients, enter scan parameters, and monitor imaging quality in real time—ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient comfort throughout. Observe patients through the control room window during exams and communicate effectively through microphone systems. Complete clerical duties—scheduling patients, inputting charges in the EHR, maintaining exam logs, and producing CD/film copies as requested. Report equipment issues, restock supplies, and support fellow techs to keep the department running smoothly. What You Bring to the Table Credentialed – Holding a current Montana Radiology Technologist License and ARRT Registration. Safety-Ready – Current AHA BLS certification (or ability to obtain within 2 months of hire). Technically Proficient – Experience with PACS systems, strong cross-sectional anatomy knowledge (axial, coronal, sagittal), and basic computer skills. Familiarity with McKesson is a plus. Mathematically Capable – Ability to work with whole numbers, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages, and to interpret bar graphs and data relevant to patient care and departmental reporting. Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports and correspondence. Critical Thinking – Ability to apply common sense to written, oral, and diagram-based instructions, and to manage problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations. Soft Skills – Attention to detail, the ability to work independently without direct supervision, and a genuine commitment to patient-centered care across all age groups including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general populations. Schedule Details Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. This is a PRN position; hours are assigned based on departmental needs and may vary.
