About The Position

Participants in the Summer Associate Program at Konare Law will embark on a 10-week immersive journey into the practice of immigration law. This experience is designed to provide real-world insights and hands-on learning opportunities. Throughout the program, each summer associate will receive a stipend and be integrated into the firm's daily operations, adhering to the same processes, procedures, and standards expected of all staff members. As the firm's associates, they will be entrusted with a full spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of what it means to be a part of Konare Law. Objectives Enhance writing proficiency by creating memoranda, briefs, parole documentation requests, and waivers. Cultivate research abilities within the domain of immigration law. Acquire a foundational understanding of immigration terminology. Learn about the various immigration benefits available. Familiarize with the administrative procedures of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Master the use of the online legal research database, Westlaw. Obtain practical experience in immigration court proceedings. Konare Law offers a 10-week program starting June 8th and ending August 14th.

Requirements

  • Must be a rising 3L at an ABA accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
  • Strong research, writing, analytical skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Cover Letter – In your cover letter please include the following information: A story about yourself including why you are interested in Immigration Law.
