About The Position

The Impact Analyst supports the assessment and enhancement of programs and initiatives. This role contributes to the design and implementation of evaluation projects, conducts data analysis, and translates findings into actionable insights that inform decision-making and strengthen organizational impact. The Impact Analyst collaborates closely with program teams and reports to the Senior Impact Analyst, helping to ensure data-driven strategies and continuous program improvement.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in research, program evaluation, or data analysis, ideally within a non-profit, social services, or mission-driven context.
  • Strong analytical skills, including experience with descriptive and multivariate analyses, longitudinal studies, or predictive modeling and qualitative analysis.
  • Familiarity with statistical software such as R, SPSS, or Stata.
  • Deep commitment to URI’s mission, vision, and core values, with a passion for advancing meaningful social impact.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high standard for accuracy and data integrity.
  • Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present findings clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across teams, build strong partnerships, and drive successful outcomes.
  • Deep commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and confidential handling of sensitive data, particularly when working with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design, planning, and implementation of program evaluation initiatives to assess effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
  • Develop, administer, and refine data collection tools, including surveys, tracking forms, interviews, and focus groups, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Monitor and maintain data quality, collaborating with program staff to improve collection processes and ensure integrity within systems such as Apricot, the cloud-based case management platform, providing staff training and system support.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including descriptive and multivariate statistical methods, and interpret findings to generate actionable insights.
  • Create clear, impactful data visualizations, reports, and presentations for diverse audiences, translating complex findings into actionable recommendations for program managers and leadership.
  • Support project management for evaluation initiatives, including defining scope and timelines, tracking deliverables, and facilitating workgroups or ad-hoc meetings.
  • Facilitate data-informed discussions with program teams, including navigating sensitive or challenging findings, to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
  • Identify and contribute to process improvements that enhance program effectiveness, efficiency, and overall impact.
