About The Position

Guide Students to Success! Make a positive difference every day you go to work by teaming up with The Tutorverse! We’re all about creating and delivering innovative educational services and products that students need to succeed. The Tutorverse is hiring an experienced ISEE/SHSAT Tutor (In-person) in the NYC area to help our students achieve!

Requirements

• Applicants must have extensive experience in helping students prepare for ISEE and/or SHSAT specifically.
• Applicants must be available to travel to students for in-person instruction within NYC, but primarily in Manhattan.
• You should be able to hold your own in front of students and deliver content in a dynamic and engaging manner.
• You have a bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university, as well as five years of postgraduate teaching experience.

Nice To Haves

• You have experience with other entrance exams, like the SSAT, SHSAT, ACT/SAT, and HSPT/TACHS.
• You have experience helping students with their academic studies as well! Subjects include, but are not limited to: Math: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC ELA: Common Core State Exams, general reading comprehension, essay writing, AP Language, AP Literature Science: AP Bio, AP Chem, AP Physics
