About The Position

The Industrial Battery Assembly Robotic Welding position is responsible for ensuring produced parts meet specification and quality characteristics. This position is responsible for connecting cells in series/parallel in order to form a complete circuit. The IND Battery Assembly Robotic Welding position operators a hand torch to burn remaining lead connections together along with operating Kawasaki Robot and tech pendant.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age
Experience with safety and environmental training
Minimum 1 year manufacturing/factory experience preferred in a fast-paced setting
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to use some hand tools
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving, prior battery assembly experience preferred

Responsibilities

Is responsible for: a. Understanding and following policies, procedures and instructions. b. Identifying and reporting product, process and quality system non-conformities to lead personnel. c. Supporting implementation of corrective/preventative and improvement actions. d. Proper use of personal protective equipment when required.
Proper housekeeping of the work area.
Follows all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures including the proper use of personal protective equipment where required.
Use the battery assembly diagram to figure out of layout of the battery.
Place intercells on the cells in proper order. Use a hand torch to burn remaining intercells and cell button together.
Examine work order for any special items.
When required have to manually jog the robot (teach pendent).
When required have the ability to select appropriate job. Program selection (teach pendent) (with training).
Interface with HMI screen to change process parameters.
Be familiar and compliant with the systems, procedures, and documentation of the Crown Quality System and how it relates to this position and Crown quality objectives.
