About The Position

This position will have the responsibilities to optimize and balance manufacturing processes and material flow through the plant floor in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This position will have the responsibility for updating and maintaining standard times for current and new processes across the organization. Additionally, this position will standardize the performance metrics for the company processes. This role requires analytical ability, organizational skills, and attention to detail. A successful applicant will have the ability to quantify ambiguous problems to make data-driven decisions. This position is located in Alpharetta, GA, and requires you to be on-site daily.

Requirements

  • BS/MS Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of industrial, manufacturing, or process engineering experience
  • Mastery of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and Value Stream Mapping

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in statistical data analysis is a plus
  • Ability to create Tableau reports is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects with diverse teams in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies to document each process's installed capacity
  • Maintain standard labor cost and equipment cycle time data from detailed studies and historical information from manufacturing plants.
  • Develop data analysis for capital improvement projects, including direct and indirect labor costs, quality costs, reliability factors, and production rate data.
  • Calculate manpower requirements for varying production levels and machine/production cells.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of incentive compensation programs.
  • Analyze and make recommendations for plant layouts to improve operating efficiencies.
  • Evaluate individual job tasks and responsibilities, write comprehensive job descriptions and standard work, and provide recommendations on training.
  • Analysis of individual or work cell areas to make recommendations for improvements in ergonomics and work efficiency.
  • Work on capacity model development, line balancing, and output optimization
  • Conduct labor task time studies to identify labor balancing opportunities and bottleneck removal
  • Develop inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize storage costs, and ensure adequate supply for production
  • Lead continuous improvement exercises / Kaizens across various manufacturing functions
  • Establish meaningful KPIs to track productivity metrics pertaining to labor, equipment, and quality, including OEE
  • Enable live reporting and analytics of factory performance, using data visualization techniques to gain insights and make data-driven decisions
