Job Description: SUMMARY:As an Industrial Engineer, you will lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing material flow, inventory management, and transportation to enhance operational efficiency. You will assess current and future capacity needs using forecasting and planning tools, while supporting key performance metrics in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Employee Engagement. This role requires close collaboration with production teams to drive hands-on problem solving, improve supermarket processes, and implement sustainable solutions through root cause analysis.

Requirements

  • 4-year degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering Technology
  • 3-10 years of Industrial Engineering experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing principals
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven experience in collaborating with and influencing cross functional groups across enterprise
  • Communicate effectively through written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills
  • Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships
  • Experience with change management strategies
  • Ability to travel related to projects may be required up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Utilize effective lean process design techniques to optimize overall manufacturing system performance by providing innovative solutions that integrate within the value stream
  • Assess current & future capacity requirements by utilizing marketing forecasts, value stream mapping, and capacity planning methodologies
  • Identify causes of process variation utilizing the scientific method and recommend corrective action
  • Implement effective material flow concepts and pull systems with special attention to parts presentation to improve manufacturing productivity to improve manufacturing productivity providing innovative solutions that integrate within the value stream
  • Accurately assess ergonomic conditions within the manufacturing environment and provide practical solutions to eliminate ergonomic risk
