This role in summary Whirlpool is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is an onsite role for our Marion, OH location. The Industrial Engineer will play a key leadership role in driving/vetting productivity, optimizing manufacturing processes, and supporting cost accuracy across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
2+ years of manufacturing experience

Data analytical skills
Thorough understanding of Lean manufacturing, with an emphasis on Value Streams and Standardized work, WCM experience, specifically Workplace Organization and Focus Improvement preferred, EEM experience
SAP and costing (routers, deletion factors) experience
Well-developed communications, project management, coaching, interpersonal, and team building skills

Responsibilities

Develop a project pipeline for cost takeout/loss removal including working closely with finance department to validate potential savings
Drive continuous improvement though detailed/fact based analytics
Support scoping of cost projects within the Marion facility
Own all costing, routers, line balances, and labor utilization for projects
Develop and maintain equipment capacity information and planning
