About The Position

Preparation of Cost Estimates and Engineering Documentation for New and Revised Products. Function of Position : Gather/Calculate all estimating data for Sales Cost Requests Submit RFQ’s to Purchasing Department for new or modified materials. Obtain and Review Tooling Quotes from Manufacturing/Tool Engineers Input of proposed manufacturing methods into ERP Estimating/Quoting Module Writing Engineering Orders for new products and changes to existing products Input of approved BOM and Routing updates to ERP system. Preparation of detailed Process Work Instructions Production print generation and revisions using Solidworks. Participate in weekly Sales/Engineering Cost/Design Review Meeting Additional Tasks may include Motion and Time Study for Process Rate Determination Actual cost versus estimated cost audits

Requirements

  • Education – Two-year technical or financial degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word, or related software.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude.
  • Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Methods.
  • Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the office and factory floor.
