Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a role related to process improvement or industrial engineering support.
  • Familiarity with industrial engineering principles, including time and motion study, facility layout, and process flow.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for data analysis, reporting, and documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Industrial Engineers in conducting time studies, motion studies, and work sampling to establish and maintain accurate standard times for manufacturing operations.
  • Collect and analyze production data, identifying trends, bottlenecks, and areas for process improvement.
  • Support the design and implementation of efficient workstation layouts, material flow paths, and production line configurations.
  • Assist in the development and documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process flow charts.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) by contributing to root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct equipment utilization studies and make recommendations for optimization.
  • Help maintain and update engineering documentation, including bills of material, process sheets, and production reports.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure successful implementation of new processes and improvements.
  • Assist in training production personnel on new processes, equipment, and work methods.
  • Perform basic statistical analysis of production data and generate reports.
