About The Position

SkyWater is searching for an Industrial Facilities Electrician for our Bloomington, MN Site. Major Areas of Accountability: Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, modifying, calibrating, and making adjustments to electrical, electronic, and process control systems and devices used in mechanical, production, cleanroom, office and utility areas. Respond to work requests in an efficient and safe manner, in strict accordance with local, state, and federal (NEC) standards & requirements. Implement and improve preventive maintenance procedures to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime. Document system changes, operating procedures, events, and improvements. Coordinate/Plan/Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvements. Work with management, engineers, other team members and contractors to make repairs and improvements. Respond to power & control problems, alarms, variations, and calibrations. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and performs repairs. Determine parts, tools, and supplies necessary for the jobs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid State of Minnesota Electrician's License (Minimum Journeyman)
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and pneumatic, analog and digital electronics, computer/microprocessor-based control systems, including electrical maintenance/troubleshooting of industrial equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results, while being able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical prints & measurement instruments to better troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Positive interpersonal skills, highly energetic and self-motivated
  • Ability to use problem solving principles to identify and implement root cause fixes
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of a government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Ability to work a minimum of 8-hour shifts, a minimum of 5 days/week
  • Perform a variety of long-distance walking, stair/ladder climbing, standing, sitting & data entry
  • Wear complete fab attire for full shift & meet all safety and cleanroom requirements
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment for work with hazardous chemicals, gasses and hot/cold outdoor environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in semiconductor fab facilities
  • Additional certification/training in a related field
