About The Position

The Facility Technician III is a senior level position that performs general, advanced and professional-grade maintenance in the areas of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance on the industrial sites. This position will coordinate repairs with other Facility Technicians and vendors and assist with training new technicians.

Requirements

High school diploma or its equivalent
Three years electrical or mechanical maintenance experience in industrial maintenance.
Ability to identify problems and implement solutions
With one of the following, the demonstrated familiarity with or ability to: The operational characteristics, repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems The operational characteristics of mechanical equipment and replacement and repair
Ability to operate a lift and forklift
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English
Valid Class C driver’s license
Safe driving for the last three years

Nice To Haves

Four years hands on and/or two years of trades training or more.
Ability to demonstrate proper repair techniques in electrical controls
Ability to demonstrate mechanical maintenance and in depth knowledge of component identification.

Responsibilities

Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to include High Visibility clothing.
Troubleshoot, install and repair motors and controls such as vfd’s, push buttons, starters and relays, electrical control components such as directional valves, limit, proximity and pressure switches.
Troubleshoot, install and repair mechanical systems such as head and tail pulleys, pillow block bearings, conveyor belts and gear boxes.
Operate various maintenance equipment, including but not limited to: hand, electrical or air tools and pressure washers.
Immediately report safety violations and correct unsafe acts or conditions.
Comply with company safety policies and procedures, including using the lock-out/tag-out system before performing maintenance work.
Diagnose problems and implement solutions.
Direct the work of other Facility Technicians as assigned by manager or supervisor.
Assist with stocking, unloading and delivering supplies.
Document repair operations and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures.
Maintain equipment and tools essential to accomplishing daily tasks.
Perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
Other duties as assigned.
