About The Position

The Industrial Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily and nightly cleaning operations within an industrial facility. This position requires a hands-on leader who ensures that all areas meet strict safety, sanitation, and operational standards. The supervisor will manage janitorial staff, implement cleaning procedures, maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, and promote efficient cleaning operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in industrial cleaning, janitorial services, or facility maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of industrial cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations applicable to industrial facilities
  • Ability to perform physical work and operate cleaning equipment as needed
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Must be comfortable working in industrial environments with varying conditions
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends, based on operational needs
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications related to industrial cleaning, safety, or facility management are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and schedule a team of industrial janitorial staff to ensure efficient and thorough facility cleaning
  • Ensure all company policies, safety standards, and environmental regulations are followed during cleaning operations
  • Conduct routine inspections to evaluate cleanliness and identify areas needing improvement
  • Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and procedures tailored to the facility’s operational needs
  • Manage inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals
  • Coordinate with other departments to minimize disruptions during cleaning activities
  • Address and resolve issues related to cleaning performance and employee concerns
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Account Manager
