Roberts Sinto is currently seeking an Industrial Machine Builder to join our Team in Grand Ledge, MI

Requirements

  • High School diploma or Equivalent-GED; and five-ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years manufacturing experience
  • Industrial machine/part building experience
  • Blueprint reading
  • Precise measuring abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hydraulic and pneumatic experience strongly preferred.
  • Welding experience
  • Machine maintenance and repair experience

Responsibilities

  • Positions machine bases and stages sub-assemblies for final assembly.
  • Coordinates machine base placement with other department space requirements and scheduling.
  • Positions bases according to knowledge of unit being assembled and per blueprint drawings.
  • Uses cranes and other devices to move and set materials.
  • Final assembles equipment per engineering drawings.
  • Using hand tools, assembles together sub-assemblies to build entire machine.
  • Confers with engineers to resolve problems encountered during build.
  • Troubleshoots newly assembled equipment.
  • At various stages during assembly troubleshoots equipment to determine any unforeseen problems.
  • Routinely practices safety for themselves and all other employees.
  • Assisting in the installation of hydraulic equipment
  • Ability to bend piping and tubing, making hoses, and identifying fittings
  • Complete threading on black piping.
  • Assists Engineering and Sales in run-off of new equipment for customers; disassembles equipment for shipping.
  • Assists in customer run-offs with assembly expertise.
  • Disassembles equipment and loads to trucks.
