About The Position

The Industrial Electrician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and industrial equipment throughout the facility. This position supports manufacturing operations by ensuring electrical controls, motors, PLC systems, and related equipment operate safely and efficiently. The role requires strong diagnostic skills, the ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation, and the capability to perform preventative and corrective maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • At least one to three years of experience working in a manufacturing environment and electrical drafting experience.
  • This position requires some form of formal electrical training such as: Union apprentice Military training Industrial experience Trade school College
  • Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English
  • Ability to read and simple reference electrical schematic and drawings.
  • Ability to work with live 480 VAC 3 phase systems.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Proficiency using electrical test instruments.
  • Ability to wire electrical panels from schematics.
  • Demonstrates basic mathematical aptitude, skills in basic mathematical calculations, decimals and fractions
  • Understands quality, PPE requirements and safety and the importance of complying with safety policies and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience or training.
  • Human/Machine interface (HMI) experience or training.
  • Industrial Ethernet experience or training.
  • Industrial control network experience or training.
  • Industrial vision inspection systems experience or training.
  • Punch press OSHA controls requirements experience or training.
  • Servo motor experience or training.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots 480VAC 3 phase motor control circuits.
  • Troubleshoots industrial control circuits
  • Modifies circuits in industrial machines and systems.
  • Changes all size motors from fractional to 500 H.P.
  • Troubleshoots PLC systems.
  • Installs control systems for rebuilds or new systems.
  • Installs and testing Ethernet networks.
  • Troubleshoots and installing VFD motor controls.
  • Electrician disassembles defective electrical equipment, replaces defective or worn parts, and reassembles equipment.
  • Responsible for replacing all fuses, light sockets, bulbs and switches.
  • Performs other duties assigned from management.
