About The Position

We are looking for an experienced technician who will be a part of the Facility Technology Team. This position reports directly to the Utility and Facility Unit Manager. For this position you are required to perform preventive maintenance, shutdown maintenance, and breakdown repairs of all utility equipment and facility infrastructure.

Requirements

  • (Required) high school diploma or GED
  • (Required) 1+ years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment or completion of a 2-year accredited Industrial Maintenance Certification program
  • (Required) good command of written and spoken English
  • Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Utility and Facility Equipment -Knowledge of equipment is essential to be able to understand how to maintain and repair it effectively
  • Record Keeping - Knowledge of CMMS is an essential function of this position so that all activities are logged properly
  • Critical Thinking Skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Speaking - Talking to others to convey information effectively
  • Writing - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and repairing steam boilers, air compressors, cooling towers, water softeners and water heaters, plumbing, drywall repairs and painting, HVAC troubleshooting, filter changing, coil cleaning, repair and maintenance, pump rebuilding, control valve rebuilding, belt changing and tensioning and alignment, greasing and lubrication, fan motors troubleshooting, domestic water pump troubleshooting repair and maintenance, copper pipe soldering and PVC pipe fitting
  • Experience in calibration of scales, temperature, pressure to ISO and IATF standards is required
  • Machine Vibration Analysis, set up and maintain online vibration analyzers. Gather and interpret data and make reports on rotational equipment to detect faults before equipment failure
  • Forklift troubleshooting and repairs to include Diesel, Propane and Battery forklifts
  • Perform all work safely and according to company standards and maintain regular attendance
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance activities on all facility and utility equipment
  • Perform mechanical/electrical troubleshooting to ensure machine uptime is maintained at the highest possible rate
  • Technicians are required to document all maintenance activities in Hankook’s maintenance system for time accountability, parts consumption and unit maintenance metrics tracking
  • Perform work from blueprints, sketches, or detailed written procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
