About The Position
Skilled Trades Specialists is seeking quality Industrial Painters with Industrial Painting experience for a local fabrication shop. These positions are on 2nd shift which runs from 3:00 PM to Midnight. If you do not have experience painting in a Fab Shop/Industrial setting, please do not apply. Responsibilities: - Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary - Apply paint using various methods such as spraying - Mix and match paint colors to achieve desired results - Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools - Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear - Ensure quality control by inspecting finished work for defects or imperfections - Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications: - Experience in industrial painting or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of machining, welding, and auto painting techniques is a plus - Ability to operate a crane for lifting and moving large objects - Familiarity with Fabrication Shop operations and inventory management - Proficient in using hand tools to perform tasks such as sanding or masking - Basic math skills for measuring and mixing paint accurately - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions - Ability to work independently or as part of a team
