A Day in This Role You’ll stage pipe, feed it into automated equipment, complete precise welds, and leave your certification mark knowing that what you crafted could safeguard a school, hospital, or warehouse. Stage, lift, and guide pipe into and out of welding machinery. Run welding and plasma equipment to attach welded outlets to pipe according to specification. Use a handheld welding gun for touch‑ups/rewelds as required. Apply your certification stamp to the weld using a metal stamp and hammer. Advance pipe along the work table and offload to pipe carts for finished goods. Move carts to the loading area for shipment staging. Band bundles with a pneumatic bander when needed. Complete required training—including safety modules—and demonstrate competence as defined by management. Follow company policies and perform work within function‑specific SOPs. Take on additional tasks as assigned by the fabrication lead, fabrication manager, or branch operations manager to meet customer and company needs. What You Bring 1–2 years in a fast‑paced, multi‑task production environment with time constraints. Prior welding experience preferred and the ability to obtain certification. Comfort with basic arithmetic (whole numbers/decimals) and reading a tape to 1/4‑inch increments.
